ICSI Injection Pipettes
• ICSI pipettes are used to perform intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
• These pipettes come in 3 tip styles: spiked, non-spiked, or flat.
• Pipettes can be further customized by tip angle, diameter, and tip-to-elbow length.
• The flat tip ICSI pipette is for Piezo injection.
Holding Pipettes
• Holding pipettes are used to hold an oocyte or embryo in position during ICSI and other micro-manipulation procedures.
• There are 3 series with various dimensions for selection.
Zona Drilling Pipettes
• Zona drilling pipettes are used to apply acidic solutions for creating a hole on the zona pellucida to enable assisted hatching and/or embryo biopsy.
• These come in 2 sizes with varying tip angles
Polar Body Biopsy Pipettes
• Polar body biopsy pipettes are used to remove polar bodies from human oocytes and embryos for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
• These pipettes come in 3 tip styles: flat, beveled, or spiked.
• These pipettes are designed with a fire polished edge to avoid damage to the cell membrane.
Blastomere Biopsy Pipettes
• Blastomere biopsy pipettes are used to remove blastomeres and trophectoderm cells from embryos for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
• These pipettes come in 2 tip styles: flat or beveled.
• Pipettes can be further customized by inner diameter and tip angle.
• Inner diameters of 20 µm and 25 µm are recommended for trophectoderm (TE) biopsy.
• There is no shrinkage at the bend so damage to the blastomere is unlikely in the case that it is sucked through.
• Tips are fire polished to reduce damage to the cell membrane.
PZD Pipettes
• PZD pipettes are used to cut an opening on the zona pellucida of an oocyte mechanically to enable assisted hatching and/or embryo biopsy.
• These pipettes are designed with a very sharp tip and a strong taper section for easy control and precision manipulation.
• Various tip angles are available for these pipettes.
Spermatid Injection Pipettes
• Spermatid injection pipettes are larger versions of the ICSI pipette.
• Available in 2 sizes with varying tip angles.
•
Pipettes only come with a spiked tip style.
Denuding Pipettes
• Denuding pipettes are used with the 3-in-One pipette controller and other pipette holders for denudation, and gametes and embryo transfer.
• These pipettes are made of borosilicate glass which is known for its stability and its resistance to corrosion and chemicals.
• The glass pipette has a better wetting feature compared to plastic ones, and is less likely to have oil drops attached inside, which can sometimes damage an oocyte or embryo.
• Unpolished pipettes are used to remove cumulus cells attached to the zona prior to micro-manipulation procedures and fertilization assessment.
• Polished pipettes are used to transfer blastomere (during PGS), oocytes, or embryos from one dish to another during other assisted reproduction procedures.
